The day before Easter, we decided to go the the Thanksgiving Point "Easter Egg-streme" event. Even though it was rather cold, the kids still had a great time! We meet up with Corie, Adam and baby Bella, as well as Aunt Monica, Grandma Linda, Opa, and Grandma Kathy.
Luckily the 0-3 age group was allowed to hunt eggs first, and since it was starting to snow we just snuck Jax in with their age group. Monica helped Jax fill his basket and they filled it so fast she dumped the first load into the stroller and took him back out for a second round! He totally got his $8 bucks worth of eggs! Baby Bella was so cute and such a great sport!
After the hunt, there were several activities for the kids. Jax loved his balloon sword and Grandma Kathy was super fun to sword fight with. Kiley's favorite part was seeing the Easter Bunny and completely lit up when she saw him! (I personally thought he was the goofiest lookin' Easter bunny I had ever seen!)
By the time we had enough of the cold, we headed back home to enjoy the French Dip (pot roast) sandwiches I made. Corie made a delicious salad and we topped it off with double chocolate cream pie. Jackson and Kiley were so excited to dye Easter Eggs and then enjoyed watching "Madagascar 2" which Grandma Kathy gave them in their Easter Baskets from her.
As you can see, we had a fun filled day! Poor Daddy was at school presenting his final project for his upper division classes - he was happy to report his grade was 199/200! (The professor seriously docked him 1 point for not wearing a suite coat - give me a break! However, if that was all she could find wrong with his presentations - who cares - he did a great job and we are so proud of him!)
HAPPY EASTER!!!
