The 4th of July!!!

Every year on the 4th of July we go back to my "hometown" Kaysville/Fruit Heights for the Davis County parade. Jackson and Kiley absolutely love it mainly because of the huge bags of candy, stuffed animals, and trinkets they come home with. Usually one of my siblings is in the parade but now that they are all getting older, they hang out with the rest of us on the sidelines and we watched my niece Cambrie wave to us from her dance float - she was so cute! Kaysville is known for the huge water fight at the end of the parade. The whole town brings super soakers and the firetrucks drive by soaking everyone with the fire hoses. It is really fun to watch, and is a great tradition for our family. After the parade we hung out at grandma and Opa's house and then headed home to find our friends Ezra and Brandon flying down their 240 ft. homemade silp-n-slide. They invited us to join in the fun which was a blast! We then had a BBQ with Uncle Steve and Tom and ended the evening at the Traverse Mountain neighborhood party and watched the Thanksgiving Point fireworks with our friends. It was such a fun filled day and we are so grateful for this beautiful county we live in as well as for the men, women, and their families that are sacrificing so much to protect our freedom and our lives.
